Greetings from YWAM Trang,

We are full of gratitude as we look back over the past couple of months. God has been moving in big ways here in Southern Thailand—answering prayers, providing what we need, and opening new doors for ministry. From the gift of a base vehicle to the joy of welcoming students from across the world for our very first DTS Prep-Course, it’s been a season of seeing God’s faithfulness in action.

At the same time, with growth comes new challenges. Preparing our base for students, hosting teams, and launching our first DTS has stretched us in wonderful ways—but it has also highlighted our need for ongoing financial partnership. As we continue to build, renovate, and expand, your prayers and support make it possible for us to keep saying “yes” to what God is doing here.

“Every ‘yes’ to God opens a new door for His Kingdom to advance.”

On July 7th, we launched our first-ever DTS Prep-Course. This two-month program is designed to equip students spiritually and practically so they’re ready for the full DTS journey. We’re thrilled to welcome seven students—three from Thailand, three from America, and one from Norway. Their days are busy: lectures, worship, intercession, Thai language learning, acts of service, and more. It’s been amazing to see their growth as they step toward knowing God and making Him known in the DTS.

As a base, we are dedicated to mobilizing, discipling, and going. The DTS stands at the heart of fulfilling this mission. In the Lecture Phase, students spend three months encountering God through His Word, learning His heart for the nations, and being discipled in community. Then comes the Outreach Phase, where training is put into practice. Students go into the nations to serve alongside local ministries, love the poor and forgotten, and share the gospel where it has not yet been heard. It’s a journey that transforms not only the students themselves, but the communities they serve.

“Discipleship isn’t information—it’s transformation.”

Of course, getting the base ready for this season has meant a lot of practical work. From repairing a collapsed section of our roof (Fortunately, the repairman who fell through was not hurt— he landed on a soft mattress instead of the hard tile floor!) to replacing water-damaged areas, to building new furniture, installing lights, and adding storage space—there’s been no shortage of projects. Each improvement is making our base more equipped to mobilize, disciple, and send. And it’s all possible because of your generosity and prayer.

We would like to say another heartfelt thank you to those who generously donated to the purchase of our base vehicle. We were able to pick up the truck last week, and it has been fitted for additional upgrades to turn it into a vehicle that can carry at least 10 people in the back (here in Thailand, it is called a Song Tow). We will hopefully receive the finished product in about a month, and it will immediately be put to good use transporting our DTS students wherever they need to go for ministry. Again, none of this could be done without your dedication, love, and generosity! Thank you.

  • DTS Students, to be transformed by God and dedicated to live a life of obedience.

  • Our local community, to have open hearts to receive the good news of Jesus Christ.

  • Monthly Support, to be raised to our goal of $2,000 a month for all of our base necessities.

  • Ministry Leaders & Staff, to be led by God in servant leadership and increased perseverance and joy.

With love and joy, Your YWAM Trang Family

“Our vision is not ours alone—it belongs to God, and He is faithful to complete it.”
